Types of Funding

100% of all corporate donations go directly to the school programs.

Donors to Eta Colleges International may choose how they would like to direct their one-time or monthly donation; funding Special Projects, School Operations, or Scholarships. Read more below about where your donation goes.

Special Projects

From time to time, we advertise the need for funding to acquire certain resources. This includes everything from infrastructure and maintenance (replacing roofs of buildings, maintaining the playground, or replacing a school vehicle), to purchasing supplies and equipment (computers, science lab equipment, and textbooks).

School Operations

Any unspecified donation will be applied to operating costs of existing schools that are not covered by tuition. These funds will also provide additional educational materials like computers, books, scientific instruments, and other furnishings. Periodically, we send a container full of books and educational material from Canada to Cameroon as part of this initiative.

These funds ensure continuous annual support for both schools based on their level of charitable funding dependency, with the ultimate goal of achieving self-sustainability through ongoing oversight. Additionally, operational funding enables each school to continuously train its teachers annually, fostering the growth of elite education while developing educational resources from within Africa itself.

Scholarships

We currently offer scholarships to the top two students of each grade/form which covers a portion of their tuition. In addition, the top students entering at the first level qualify for the same scholarships, using their performance on the Math and Essay Contest as a qualification measure. Your donation can be directed into our scholarship program.

Eta Colleges International has a rigorous process for tracking all money sent to Cameroon. We have access to our Cameroon bank account, as well as a regular monthly balancing procedure with the school administratorsto properly account for all expenses and revenue. We make your dollars count.

Monthly Donations

You can become a regular monthly donor through our Pre-Authorized Debit/Payment option. This is a trouble-free way for individuals or corporations to support our schools on a regular and affordable schedule. You can also direct where you would like your monthly contribution to go (Special Projects, School Operations or Scholarships) or leave it to the charity to make the most efficient use of your donation.
